That is the theory, but I didn't see any real world evidence supporting the
increased HP. On top of that, you can get a much better result by ducting
cold
air from the front of the car into the area around the air filter. Many race
spridgets
(and other race cars) do this.

If you can't use ducting, then the coatings (and header wrap) would be your
only choice. Watch out for header wrap though. Unless you have corrosion
control, the header will rust out *very* quickly.
