It is loud, looks "funny" especially on a Mini driven by a guy pushing 50, but then anybody over 21 in a Mini is a site. Can we all say "Mr. Bean"? I have caravaned with him a few times, his Mini is annoying to listen to, not that my Bugeye isn't but I have the same annoying sound with a $20 glass pack.
