BOCA code says a garage floor must have 2 inches of pitch per 10 feet of floor. Something about fumes rolling along the floor and out the door. But I agree with you, my new garage floor is pitched just enough to have the water drain out when I wash it. (no permit when poured) If you have a building permit on a garage it will have to meet code.
