I have been (and prefer) the old style down flow radiators. I run hot
1275s and never had an overheating problem except maybe 200 degrees
while sitting in traffic when the ambient temp is 95+.
I have had nothing but troubles with the cross flows (just changed one
tonight in a 74 Midget) Almost put a down flow in it but I kept it
"original".
I would just like to hear how many others have troubles with down flows.
I only had one recored in 27 years, all the others are old stock picked
out of parts cars and swap meets. And I just flush them out with a
garden hose.
Just curious
