I just wanted to bring out the very sad point (which might have not sunken
in because of the great HD debate), that contrary to the hope that this
list had adopted for a while,
- Parts sold in England are not autamatically good
- Not all bad parts are made by Moss in Taiwan
- All parts dealers will sell the same junk, they all buy from the same
suppliers, IMO.
So, don't expect the british parts outfits (or any over here) to sell a
better version of a product unless they advertise "this is not the cheap
version sold by our competitors that is too tall and has the studs in the
wrong places, etc."
I think our best defense is this list, and telling each other about good
and bad parts, so that we don't all have to go through the same bad
experiences. In addition, I feel that if I buy a bad part and then hang
it from my garage wall because it doesn't fit, they win!
So return the junk!
