DL,
I'm no expert, but my '80 TR7 had a similar problem, and turned out to be a
problem with connections of the coil and engine computer.
How I deduced that it was electronic vs. fuel related is that when it
sputtered, the tachometer -- electronic -- slammed around the dial like
crazy. I was told that if it was fuel related, the tach would just keep up
with the RPMS and not go squirrelly.
Anyone with more experience please correct me.
Thanks,
David Randall
