Out: pushy Stromberg throttle return spring
In: Using an improvised double-spring, hanging from a secured screw clamp on a
nearby hose. + Screwing in the pedal stop all the way.
Thanks for the advice. It is nice to get the full throttle range again.
As for the tachometer front: I hooked up an old-fashioned voltmeter to the
coil, and watched accordingly as I revved up the engine. The needle acted just
the same way as the tach did. I hold a higher RPM, and after a second the
needle goes down. Makes no sense to me.
Spark plugs looked good. Re-gapped 'em.
Perhaps this is the punishment I paid for using just the Crane amplifier
module, and not the optical setup you stuff into the distributor. Wonder if I
could order the rest of that seperately.
On another note, is there any way to testing a Lucas CEI amplifier module on
the workbench, short of reinstalling it?
Fuel economy front: Still bad. Looks like it's time to get a fuel pressure
regulator.
