Spitted Ones,

An update to my question about the trunnions from last
week. I ordered a new Rear Trunnion Kit last weekm and
then proceeded to take my faithful Dremel tool (actually)
the Black & Decker version) and sand out the part on the
inner hub where it sits. I also disassembled the 'old new'
parts and absolutely destroyed them. After sanding them
down, and using a liberal application of anti-seize compound
I re-assembled everything. Boy, did they slide together
nicely. More like I remembered from 1976. Next step is to
replace the spring and then everything can go back together.
Hope to have the car back on the road in the next couple
of weeks. That is if the weather cooperates.

Cheers,

Doug
