I bought an oil cooler kit (10 row) from Vic Brit but am now somewhat stymied
on how to install it. I've figured out how to mount the cooler, despite the
fact that it's too short to span the chassis members, but I cannot figure out
how to put the round thingie on the engine block. Sorry for the technical
terms there, but I don't have any idea what the thing's called - oil cooler
hose donut adapter? Anyway, it seems like the only way I can mount it without
something blocking the hoses is if I aim the hoses down (toward the ground from
the engine block). But then, given the angles and length of the hoses, I think
I'd need to mount the oil cooler upside-down, which sounds like a pretty stupid
thing to do. If I face the hoses toward the front of the car they are blocked
by a bracket. I know people install these things all the time - what am I
missing? Thanks in advance for any help.
