Thanks to all for your feedback on the grease fittings. This whole project
started by trying to chase down a whizzing noise. The trans oil is now
changed and u-joints lubed. The speedo right angle drive is checked out.
The shifter remote control o-rings are replaced... now all signs are
pointing to the diff. In turning the driveshaft by hand while lubing the
u-joints I noticed that it could turn about 10 degrees with the trans in
neutral and the wheels on the ground. It is a sad day. Time to join Triple
A.
