No, you can't.  Found that out last fall doing mine.  The dimensions of
the plate are all wrong for an OD.  

You can make your own OD plate, or simply buy one from Rimmers or
Spitbits, depending which side of the pond you're on.

Can I in fact re-use the existing plate and just drill new holes?
