Hi,
I just replace the speedo cable on my Spitfire (with overdrive). Put about
150 miles on the car and cable broke. I tried to route it the same way the
previous cable went.
The old cable was replaced because the end that screws onto the angle
connection came off when I was working on the transmission not because the
cable broke.
Are the new cables supposed to be lubricated before installing? I thought it
looked like there was grease already there so I did not add any more.
