That's normal. There is more load on the alternator, and thus
more load on the engine.
Some turn signal flasher units are rather sensitive to a slight change
in voltage. If the turn signals get too slow with the lights on, try
replacing it. The flashing also slows down when the turn signal lamps
get old and draw less current than when new. If your turn signal
lamps look old (a silvery deposit on the inside of the glass), replace
them, too. And while you're at it, make sure the lamp sockets are
not corroded.
(Don't use sandpaper to clean lamp sockets! It will gouge
any plating on the steel socket body. Use a fine wire brush.
You can probably find one that is cylindrical, and fits nicely
into the socket.)
