James suggested, concerning the Spit ad on the Totally Triumph Network:

...However - presuming the guy is the father - I guess he's going to have to
get
rid of the spit after the birth!...

Hmm, not so, Daffy stayed on as my only car after the birth of my first,
Flora, 2 1/2 years ago. A child seat fitted to the passenger seat meant I
could take her to nursery, and if all 3 of us wanted to go somewhere we went
in my wifes car. No problem!

The imminent arrival of No. 2, however, is a different matter. One child
will fit in a Spit, two won't - hence the acquisition of a cheap'n'nasty
(but very frugal)Fiat. No fun at all, but at least it means Daffy gets to
stay inside during the worst days of the Scottish winter.

I showed the ad to my wife (it was from a video I have that the ads on the
TTN were taken), and she said she'd rather walk than be taken to the
hospital in Daffy while in labour! No genuinely heavily pregnant woman
would have a hope in hell of getting in and out of a Spitfire!
