I got a Big Bore SS system from them and shipping was included in their special
fall offering. I have not installed it on the car as yet but have trial fitted
it on a spare head with the intake manifold installed. I am using a Weber DGV
carb with a Pierce manifold. The pipe from cylinder 1 was hitting the bottom
front corner of the intake manifold. With a slight bit of percussive persuasion,
I deformed the header pipe slightly to make clearance. It didn't take much,
maybe 1/16 or 3/32".
Since my kitchen is nearing completion (sorry my wife said it took priority), I
will soon be able to start on my Spitfire upgrade. It will likely take until
then end of April to get done the various little projects but I'll let the list
know how things turn out.
BTW, can anyone comment on how this stainless steel looks after a couple of
years of use? I expect that it won't be shiny and bright like it is in the
unused state.
