Steph,
Seriously, if you have to rebuild one, just do the HS2s. THey're really
simple to rebuild. Get the Haynes Weber,SU,and Stromberg carb manual. Read
up on the HS2s and rebuild them.
Joe Curto in Queens NY rebuilds them to NEW for $300 a pair. He's the best
there is.
I rebuilt my set of HS4s before switching them with the ZS on my Midget
1500. They were my 1st carb rebuilds. Really easy stuff. The only really
important things to check are the throttle shafts. Make sure they're not
loose in the bushes, or you'll have a vacuum leak. But you can have the
bushes reamed and oversized throttle shafts installed. I gave Joe the bare
carb bodies. He did the reaming, the new shafts, and new butterflies (mine
had the ones with the poppet valves, which your's won't have). Took him 10
minutes. Any local shop can do it.
Otherwise, he probably has the parts you need for the stromberg. His # is
718-762-7878.
Good luck.

Switch was done by PO.
I do have the original HS2 with intake manifold but they too need rebuilding
(actually, MAJOR rebuilding). For now, I just want to keep things simple
(I'm new at all this mechanical stuff) & keep it running as well as possible
without putting too much money on it until I do a full restoration.
Sometime after the 6 is done (in many years!!!)
I will put the HS2 eventually, but not this year (at least it's not in my
plans, but as we all know, plans can change!!!)
Thanks
