According to the Bentley manual, the crankshaft end-float should be
in between .004-.008" (.102-.203mm) for 75-80 1500 Spits.
Standard thrust washers are .091-.093" (2.31-2.36mm), and oversize ones
are .096-.098" (2.44-2.49mm).
