You may not find the accessary position going counterclockwise, when
you insert the key and turn it clockwise the first position is the accessary
position the second is ignition and then the starter position. But this is
the way my 70s operate.
I checked the Vicky Brit Catalog and the switch is different from mine
so it may operate differently. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
