OK , now I'm curious . I have an extra Mk 2 Spit body tub in excellent
condition with instruments and streering rack . If I wanted to do a GT 6
conversion , what should I search for ? Complete Mk 1 GT 6 without body tub
, but with bonnet / hood or will a MK 2 or 3 GT 6 do ? Do I really need the
GT 6 o/d ? What about the GT 6 instruments ?
Any ideas would be appreciated .

One TR 3 with o/d , two Heralds and four early Spitfires without o/d .

Terrence,

Then you wouldn't get the convertible Spit tub, and isn't that the whole
idea of the excercise?

Just a stray thought; maybe you get a GT6 in good condition; spend the time
and $$$ on making it run faster...assuming you want to go faster.
