Paul,
Why not "upgrade" to a Bosch unit?
The Bosch alternator for a Ford Fiesta is a direct plug equivalent
to the Lucas alternator (sorry I do not know the part #).
I went through 3 alternators in a matter of weeks before going the
Bosch route.
