Intriguing idea...

Since I'm going to have to send my tachometer out to be professionally
recalibrated anyway...  Is there any reason that I wouldn't be able to swap
the innards with an electronic tach mechanism, but retain the face of the
original Jaeger?  Somehow, the thought of shelving the cable and having the
reliability of an electronic tach disguised as an original REALLY appeals to
me...
