I paid $2.07 the other night in Santa Monica-(no, it didn't come with
vaseline) Down here-in Costa Mesa, it's at $1.91-but 3 miles down the road
in Newport Beach -it's $2+ (But, their roads are actually repaired...)
Anybody heard anything more about the truckers in D.C.?
I know people hwo use courier services for work-and there's a shortage of
couriers-because they're paid by the mile and gas is too expensive to go to
work!
Then there's the seniors who are picketing gas stations around L.A.-they've
formed an action group. That seniors and people on fixed incomes are really
in a tight spot with the gas prices. They're trying to get the oil companies
to give senior discounts (well, if they wanted to be fair-they'd give
discounts to people who are disabled and living on disability too-it would
have to be a lot more for it to be considered not a lot of money!) I hope
that they win!!!!
