Tony,
On the swing spring, only the bottom leaf provides
roll stiffness. The front springs and roll bar
contribute most of the roll stiffness for the car. And
the front springs are notoriuous for sagging. I
suspect that is where your problem is, but try this
simple test (be careful!):
Find a flat and level surface to work on. Using a
hydraulic jack set under the diff housing, raise the
car and remove the rear wheels (use appropriate safety
measures here). Now lower the rear back down to normal
height. Since the rear is pivoting on the jack lift
pad, the front determines how level the car will sit.
If the car still sags, then the front springs/roll bar
at at fault, if level, then the rear spring is the
problem.
Re-attach wheels, etc. Check archives for spring
removal procedures.
