VB's winter specials end the 29th, so I'm trying to wrap up the last minute
shopping. Their Special Interior Kit 16-342-xx page 4 in the specials
catalog include door panels, panel clips, capping coverings, rear qtr panel
kit, cockpit panel, vinyl seat kit, headrest covers, bottom foams, back
foams, and complete black carpet set for $950, regularly $1,150.
Has anyone attempted one of these kits? Are the components worth a grand, or
are there compromises in the carpeting, seat coverings, etc? How difficult
is it to make it look good? Will the seat covers look like "socks on a
rooster?" (sorry, I grew up down south)
Since the sale ends Tuesday, any suggestions, comments, yeas, or nays would
be much appreciated as soon as possible.
BTW, thanks to all for your comments on the lug nuts and tires. Tirerack.com
was very insightful, and the Newark, DE location seems to stock most of the
tires I'm interested in.
