Richard:
You asked if a electronic tach from a 4-pot (cylinder) would work with a
6-pot (cylinder) engine. The answer is no, not without modification.
I've also learned recently that the GT-6 was never manufactured with an
electronic tach (the subject of one of my posts earlier in the week).
I've been researching this subject extensively as of late because I
would like to modify a 4-cylinder tach to work with my 6-cylinder.
Apparently, the modification can be done by a good instrumentation
outfit. As of yet I have not located someone to make the modification,
although one fellow did tell me that Hemmings has advertisments for
people/companies that will apparently undertake such missions. Does
anyone on the list know of a good instrument person that I might try?
Thanks,
Ron St. John
