US models might have been different, but I don't recall any badges on
either Mk.IV or early US 1500 boot lids. There were badges on each rear
quarter, though: "Spitfire IV" on the Mk.IV cars and "Spitfire 1500" on
the 1973-74 US 1500s. In each case, these rear quarter badges were very
similar to the bonnet badge but rectangle rather than parallelogram.
Our 1975-on Spitfire 1500s did have the transfers on bonnet and boot.

Not riveted per se but held on by what Triumph called "friction bushes" --
those little black plastic inserts in the hole in the sheet metal that
held the cast-in pins on the back of the badge.
