Just my two cents on this topic, I agree with all that is said about the
torque wrench, and the off set of the crows foot changing the torque value.
Please be careful when torqueing with a crows foot. They have a tendency to
open up and slip. I had a job in the aerospace industry, and we had to
torque a line fitting to a real tight tolerance (Space vehicle). The
average crows foot came apart, so we had to design a special "heavy duty"
one. We had a name brand tool company make it for us at a great price. If
interested please contact me off line. Also don't assume your new torque
wrench is calibrated out of the box, we had two fail, our supplier gladly
exchanged them. Good luck Chris
