Mike, according to the book "Spitfire & GT-6 a guide to originality" (I
might of massacred the name, but close enough) J type overdrives did not
use nor need a relay. Mine is wired without one. and run exceptionally well
for two years that way. The '76 I used to own had a plethora of relays up
on the firewall (three I believe). You are also experiencing troubles with
your horn, could it be that this is actually the horn relay? I personally
recommend Spitbits www.spitbits.com, there are a good number of others,
Victoria British, TSI Automotive, British Parts NorthWest, Moss Motors (BOO
HISS), just to start things off.

Don't think so, maybe your can had an overdrive original and was removed.

That is always a confusing topic. My Spit is a 78 and it does not dave
a relay for the horn. Maybe someone on the list would be more helpful.
