I've thought about this as well. My father has a set of four Mikunis that we
have thought of adapting to his 1500. The only down side that I can find is
that most of these carbs do not have a preinjector so they might be rather
boggy off the start. I don't think it would be that hard to make a manifold
for the spit. A four carb setup would be really cool. The honda goldwing
had a 1500cc displacement, and the new one is 1600cc's. Carbs off that one
might fit. I've also thought about the engine out of a motorcycle. A 1000cc
or greater four cylinder modern motorcycle engine would produce as much if
not more horsepower. Why not just drop one in? The weight savings would be
huge.
