fellow lister's I was wondering if anyone knows of a kit to adapt a Holly or some other downdraft carb to a spitty... I know about the Weber kits, and the Dual SU route... I was just wondering if anyone has done a Holly or even been bold enough to try the Holly Pro-Jection system on their spitty??? or what about a couple of Carbs off of a Japenese (sp) motorcycle.. (those would be sidedraft like an su) I am aware that most MC carbs dont use flanges to bolt up to the intake maniold. I wouldnt think it would be to difficult to modify a twin carb manifold to accept a couple of MC carbs.. I am also on the Sportster list and the topic was of SU carbs on Harleys.. a few riders did it years ago.. their feelings about the SU are less than lackluster that got me to thinking.. MC carbs to Spitty and from there on to the thought of putting FI on my spitty... thanks for listening... Brian Doll 72 MKIV |
