Assuming you are referring to the "final drive" (differential), it is
4.11:1 on the '67. I think it is probably 3.63:1 on the '76, as it was
for most non-Federal Spitfires.

I don't know about the "stub shafts"; however, it doesn't sound right to
me. You can change the diff. complete into the '67, but you'll also need
to bring over that rear swing-spring (and, therefore, the fatter front
sway bar). Either that, or you need to drill the extra two holes for the
5th and 6th hold-down studs for the original leaf spring. Oh, and you'll
also need the axle flanges and rear propshaft flange from the later car,
as the flanges on the '76 diff. are larger. Forunately, the u-joints are
the same regardless. In other words, it's not quite a direct swap. And
it's hard to say if the (likely) 3.63:1 ratio will be as suitable in the
older car (you didn't specify which engine that car has: 1147 or 1296 or
???).
