I've just completed a write-up of my conversion from a
Lucas-points style ignition to Crane Cams XR700
electronic ignition.
This conversion was prompted by a failing points
system and the advice of many of users from this list!

The article would be VALUABLE RESEARCH to anyone
considering make the conversion to a more reliable
ignition system. It goes along with my Bosch
Alternator conversion article as some suggested
improvements for those of you interested in making
your spit more reliable without maintaining (often
costly) stock parts.
