Eric,

I recovered my seat last spring. I also felt a little concern about tearing
the covers upon installation or after sitting on them. I found that one fit
easier then the other, therefore one was a little looser. The looser one
took on the shape of the object seating on them with a crease right up the
middle of the seat. I re-streched the cover this spring and the seat is
without crease therefore I think it is better to put them on tight. The old
covers appeared to have been glued to the foam pads (I wonder it they had
been recovered by PO), which I did not repeat, my covers still look and fit
pretty well. I did get some wear around the seat belt contact with the door
side of the covers just due to the old rough quality of the belts. I replaced
my original belts with after market belts to slow down this wear problem.

Good luck,
