Can you guys give me a couple of ways of checking the starter motor insitue on my Mk 2. I have a suspicion that it's gone bad on me. It turns over, but not with any "force", and appears to miss a beat. It's like one of the carbon brushes is gone. Unfortunately I won't be taking the motor out until next weekend when I'll have a set of imperial tools to hand. My metric stuff just does not cut it (apart from the corners off the nuts!). Thanks in advance, Aidan |
