Shane,

I replaced the rear spring in my '77 and it looked great, for about a
week. The left side sag came back just as bad. I put in air shocks and
again it was nice, until I drove it for a while and once again the car
had this left side tilt. Finally I put in a second schrader (sp?) valve
setup, so that I could balance between the two sides. With me out of
the car I adjusted the pressure to be 50# on the left and 35# on the
right and have not had the sag return. I don't understand why some
Spits show this leftist tendency. Does anybody out there know?

(It couldn't be that I weigh in at 196, could it?)

Thanks,

I have a couple of questions that may have been answered earlier...

One: If you are going to repaint your block, what color should you paint
it. What would look best? I sand-blasted my valve cover and painted it
high heat Chevy orange. It looks very smooth BUT the block is a nasty
black.

Second: Will installing a new rear leaf spring (or re-arching the old
one) get rid of the rear driver's side SAG???? My car has the Corvette
Gabriel air shock conversion now, but the sag is still there.

Thanks in advance!
