Greg, I can tell you from very personal experience. (I rolled a '81 Toyota
Pickup down a highway a few years back) A shoulder strap will keep you
from being thrown, forward that is it. I was thrown from the sitting to
the laying on my side position and back more than several times. I got a
very severe case of whiplash but since my truck had a top, I did not have
to worry about the bloody stump that could have been left of my head, and I
never hit the wheel or the windshield. Sounds like a great lawsuit, but
since it was my fault (something about napping at 60mph) I guess I will
forego the typical court routine.
