I bought the top of the line version a few months ago when it was on sale.  
It does a fantastic job and with the split point option you can sharpen a drill 
down to the last bit of flute if need be.  If you have a lot of drills it's 
worth it in my opinion.  If you've just a handfull of multipupose bits it may 
be cost effective to buy new ones.  Steve
Anyone using a drill doctor, and have any comments on effectiveness?  A guy 
at work says he has used one and it works great to sharpen dull bits.  I would 
think that it might easily go thru the heat treat layer, but maybe it doesn't 
for one sharpening.  The bits I get these days seem to be pretty low quality.  
Being able to sharpen them and get more life out of them would be nice.
