If the hole is on the bottom of the pan you might have trouble getting liquid
epoxy to stay in place. I've had success patching mufflers with the stick
epoxy-steel stuff (JB Weld makes it, too).
Sand all paint off then clean with brake cleaner before applying. You can
grind/file the stuff after it sets up.
