Ahh the famous water weenies!! - Our other favorite trick with these was to
stick an empty bic pin on one end after filling and you could easily get
40-50 feet range on them - You could also carry a great deal of "ammo" with
a four foot section of tubing.
It's amazing what you really get out of a good college education!

I lived in a college dorm once that, in order to have good water pressure on
the third floor, had about 100 psi in the basement. Someone discovered that
he could tie a knot in the end of a length of rubber surgical tubing, force
it over the water fountain nozzle and blow the tubing up to about a 4 inch
diameter cylinder of water under high pressure. Next, one would take it to
someone's room and throw the water-bomb in bed with someone . . Not only did
it half drown the victim, It flailed around and beat him up in the process.
He was a physics major.
