O.K. GUYS I HAVE A 46 3/4 TON . IT IS A STACK BODY BED WITH A DUMP. I NEED
MORE POWER, IT IS ALL ORIGINAL DOWN TO THE 216 ENGINE. THE TRANSMISSION GRINDS
IN EVERY GEAR, EVEN WHEN I DOUBLE CLUTCH. I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT CLOSE TO
ORIGINAL AND ALSO BE ABLE TO DRIVE IT EVERY DAY IF I WANT. I LIVE IN IDAHO,
LOTS OF STEEP MOUNTAINS
AND HILLS. WOULD A 235 BE STRONG ENOUGH AND THE TRANSMISSION OUT OF AN EARLY
60S FIT. OR SHOULD I TAKE IT UP TO A SMALL V8 AND NEW TRANSMISSION WITH OUT
CUTTING INTO THE FIRE WALL AND FLOOR. GOT SOME IDEAS?
