Could someone tell me what Chevy is referring to when they say 'starter
switch' for a '53 3/4 ton? One of two wires still goes to the light
switch: the other must go to the starter switch. IF the starter switch
is the small switch bolted to the top of the starter then should it have
three leads coming from it? one directly to the positive battery post,
one to the ignition key which also branches off to the Batt post on the
regulator and the third(?) to the ammeter?
And a side question: in trying to read the manuals it seems the ammeter
is a part of the ignition system instead of being part of the charging
system. Wouldn't the charging system make more sense? It tracks whether
you are charging or not when operating.... ?
Thanks again for your time.
