Not to say your dumb here or anything, BUT, you DID do the head bolts under
the valve cover and down in some lower spots there, correct? You also have
to remove the oil line from some rocker assemblies depending on what year
you have. You will need to remove the side cover to see the coupler and
small line. I'ld check for a missed bolt somewhere. You have shop manual?
Look in it for bolt tightening sequence and it will show all the bolts, and
see if you hve them all out. The head will stick some, may need to "pop" it
loose with a prybar or screwdriver against something you won't damage on
block.
