Hi Guys,
It was not my intention to step on anybody's toes. Sorry if I did. I
also have a passion for these old trucks, and maybe I got carried away
with my reply. My truck spent most of it's life as a farm truck, and was
lying scattered across the farm where it was used, until I put it on a
flatbed trailer, and rescued it. The list has been a great help in my
ongoing restoration project.
Currently I am in the process of restripping off my last paint job, and
will be redoing my rust treatment soon. I purchased a special primer
from DuPont, called Variprime, and it is a 2 part etch system, that
should kill the rust that I failed to get the first time. It has been
highly recomended by other local auto restorers that I have talked to.
The only problem that I am currently having with my truck is the brake
pedal is sticking real bad, and I have determined that it is due to bad
cab mounts, which I have purchased and will replace soon. If I find out
that that is not it, I will try and find out what it is and let the list
know what it was.
Thanks, and Happy Holidays,
Larry
