I recall buying rotors for a foreign car and they appeared to be stainless.
The rotors (which were easily removable) were pinched between wheel and hub and
were fastened by two flat-head phillips screws.
They didn't have an ounce of rust on them, but were badly worn.

I am far from a metalurgist, but a magnet will not
stick to any stainless I've ever seen. Try that for
a quick test.

I just got my new Raybestos rotors. The counter man said they are stainless
steel. Is this true?
