Split Rim Wheels

Listers,
    My Aero has split rim wheels whose tires will have to be replaced soon.  
My last experiences with split rims were 30+ years ago.
    Can anyone direct me to a site where removal and replacement is discussed.
    As I recall, tire irons, mallets, and a cage for larger truck split rims 
were sop, but time has a habit of dimming one's memory!
