I saw the stand as well. Apparently it's not a Morgan run stall but a JV
between Libra Motive and Wykehams which is a bit of a sore point with other
dealers. The people on the stand were very pleasant, especially in
comparison with most of the other marques.
I did like the new dash layout but under the bonnet the +8 didn't look a
whole lot different to my 1987 3.5 +8 - probably my ignorant eye!
Does any one know if these new wings will be available for fitting to old
cars? I didn't think to ask the folks at the stand.
Manfred.

Subject: New morgans
I had a couple of hours at the London Motor Show yesterday. The Morgan
stand featured each of the current models (five, including the "big" Plus
8), all in metallic purple!!!!! None were "airbagged", but the new
stearing wheel and dash were evident. The new wheel is black plastic, but
not too bad. The main change in the dash layout is that the four guages
are now mounted in a square layout. If airbags are specified, the
passanger one fills the space of the glove compartment.
As to the body changes, one would have to look very hard to see the
differences.
"New" type alluminium wings are expected to be used any day now.
Advantages are in the construction, and no filler to smooth out the joins.
