Hello Manfred,
I topped off my Armstrongs with the appropriate oil, after sucking out much of
the old oil with a turkey baster (Joyce is demanding I get my own baster). The
shock still had no bounce.
Do you know if there is some special priming procedure when refilling?
Do the shocks have to be removed from the car, or separated from the links to
allow for full lever-arm movement when priming?
Some good news anyway. John Blair pointed me towards Apple Hydrolics (sic) for
a cheaper rebuild ($60 each, or $70 for heavy duty). They appear in the Morgan
web page suppliers list. The phone number is correct, but there address is
outdated.
