David, I painted my "woodwork" with marine paintwork which looks like it is a complete sealant. Although the painting was carried out about 20 years ago, the car has only been used on the road for the last year, and even then it is rarely driven in wet conditions. Thus, I do not know the long term performance of the timber or paint integrity. However, at the moment, it looks in very good condition. Best regards, Fred Birkbeck. |
