        I can not suggest a reasonably accurate dip stick for MGB. Tank fil=
ler neck is curved and of large diameter.
        My calibration efforts, that have worked out well, were to carry a s=
pare can of fuel along, then running the tank dry, and noting gauge position=
.  Then, fill to top and note again.  =20
        Rick Astley=E2=80=99s book describes calibration of the gauge, but e=
ven when adjusted it can not be considered a precise instrument.  Even thoug=
h I now trust my gauge, I reset the trip odometer to 000 then plan to fill w=
hen it nears 225 miles. Trust but verify, as someone famous said.=20
