It's just like the Audi issue from 20-some years ago.
It's happening to everyone because it's happening to
everyone. Part of it is
herd mentality - blame the car,
not the driver (ie, "It can't be MY mistake -
everyone is
having this problem!"). Part is get-rich-quick opportunists
hoping to make some money. Part is a panic created by
the press. It becomes
a life unto itself. In another
20 years, it will be another make of car, and
the
process will start all over again. It just happened
to reach critical
mass this year with this car.
